You must have read a lot of successful tips and if like me you have found most of them overwhelming or too much, it is because they are.
Everyone’s journey to success is slightly different but there are key similarities that exists if you look closely.
While you can get the best courses or ideas of how to make money online, learning alone would not make you an instant success if you don’t have the Success Habits to go with it.
When i wanted a better life for myself, I figured if i “know” what successful people did i would be a success, I though it was just learning one skill “SEO” “copywriting” or how to build a following around a successful blog.
But is learning a skill just enough?
Definitely not, you have to learn some habits that would be a key part of your growth if you want to be successful
Even the most successful crime lords have some of these habits locked down in their own ways.
So if you want to be successful, these habits of highly successful people would help you achieve more with the skills you have while you build on it.
Four Habits That Will Make You Rich(Successful)
To be a success in any field, or niche, there are a lot of things you need to know and do but the most important ones have been broken down into these Core 4.
I learnt these from Dave Sharpe who is awesome and whose Personal Story inspires me a lot.
He went from being a drug addict to turning his life around and building multiple 7 figure businesses and he attributes it to not just the skills he learned but by making these four habits the foundation of his success.
Habits are what differentiates the successful online entrepreneurs from the unsuccessful ones and even our bad habits turn out to be life changing.
To be successful you need to be physically healthy as this would improve your focus, clarity of mind and give you the required energy levels and discipline you need.
When it comes to your physical health, there are very important things you need to keep a check on.
These might seem little when you break them down (which you should) but together they would give you the energy to do and achieve more.
To be at your best physical health you need to do away with a lot of junk food and eat healthy.
I used to be so anxious and depressed when i found my life was in a rut and i was scared of my future, this fear helped me start a journey on personal development and wellness and has been a major reason for my success.
One of the few habits i had to learn was eating better and healthier.
I discovered that I have more energy when I eat well and my mood was better than when I ate junks almost every day which was a habit for me before.
Asides good food, having at least 7 hours of sleep is a must is you want to be successful.
I know this goes against the working 22 hours a day that most “gurus” say got them started and i believed it too, but i tried the experiment with myself.
I realized while I was proud to be a night owl ( who could work all night and with the help of caffeine and just two hours of sleep) could work during the day, i am usually irritated and not able to concentrate when I don’t have a good nights sleep, and my productivity suffered as a result.
I took a free course on learning how to learn and the research showed that your brain performs better with much rest.
Every now and again when I have to work at night and don’t sleep well (which you would do every now and again as entrepreneur) I try not to make it a habit as then it affects every other area of my life and my day.
The last part of this is exercising. You need to learn to exercise regularly and make a habit out of it ( especially in the morning) and work up a little sweat. I do better and i am more productive when I start my day of with a little exercise to get the juices flowing.
While one blog post is not enough to go into the importance of one’s mental health, it is becoming increasingly necessary with the happening in our world.
Mental health is how you feel about your self, what you mind repeatedly tells you about yourself and it is formed not just from that feedback but from the feedback you get from others.
Some Key Facts on Mental Health according to the World Health Organization is that :
- Mental health is more than the absence of mental disorders.
- Mental health is an integral part of health; indeed, there is no health without mental health.
- Mental health is determined by a range of socioeconomic, biological and environmental factors.
- Cost-effective public health and intersectoral strategies and interventions exist to promote, protect and restore mental health.
One way I have found that improves my mental health is by being around positive minded people, avoiding gossips and small talks about others and staying away from people who complain and only see the worst in life
Reducing the time you spend around people with a “crisis” view of the world or living relationships where you are constantly anxious and depressed is a priority if you want to be rich and sucessflu
Successful people do not have the time to talk about anyone badly or tear people down, this is a characteristic of unsuccessful people and the more it is done the more it becomes a habit.
Second is Emotionla Intelligence. Your emotional intelligence (EQ) is your ability to process emotions—both others’ and your own—and come to sound decisions. People with a high degree of emotional intelligence know what they’re feeling, what their emotions mean, and how these emotions can affect other people.
Your ability to not let your emotions of anger, sadness and the false beliefs that the world throws your way keep you from doing what you must do.
An emotional intelligent person would avoid “trolls” whose sole intent is to belittle your efforts and make you doubt your ability, An emotionally intelligent person is slow to anger and is in control of how they respond or don’t respond to outside stimuli.
One way to help you with your emotional intelligence and mental health is by practicing meditation and being self-aware. It was hard at first for me but when i started doing it consistently, it helped a lot.
I went from being a hot head who would react to every perceived slight to learning to keep my calm even in the most stressful situations.
There is this amazing app i use called “head space” which would help you with meditation if you are just starting out.
No matter how successful you become, your ability to realize there is a higher power and everything is not within your control would help you go far ( in the grand scheme of things)
This should help you stay spiritually grounded and humbled. There is this YouTube clip i like to watch to get me is this frame of mind.

Every ten seconds we view the starting point from ten times farther out until our own galaxy is visible only as a speck of light among many others.
This shows you that the world is a very big place and while your problems or achievements might seem big to you, there is more in the world out of your control so you should focus on controlling what you can and being grateful.
Staying grounded also helps you to keep learning more and more because the minute you stop learning and growing because you know it all, is the minute you start dying.
The richest men Bill gates, Warren Buffet. Charly Munger Mark Zuckerberg have all talked about how much reading they do to keep learning. If the richest and most successful brilliant minds of our time can stay grounded and keep learning, why shouldn’t you?
Work ethics is another key habit that differentiate successful entrepreneurs from unsuccessful ones. Your ability to work ( even when you do not feel like it) is what would make a big difference between you and your competition.
developing a work ethic is had at first especially when you look at what you have to do as a whole, that is why s is necessary you love what you do.
This is why i love affiliate marketing as it gives you the opportunity to learn and do something you like while it is also rewarding in both money and habits.
Research shows that it takes 66 days to nail down a habit so you can “chunk” up the habits you need to practice and start small each day to continually develop good habits that would serve you for the rest of you life.
These are the four core habits That would make you successful as an entrepreneur and if you break them into small task and keep at it, you are bound to be successful and rich.
